Recertification Season

Recertification Season

Your certification level will determine when your certification expires and when your recertification application can be submitted for renewal. Education for your recertification cycle may be completed anything within your two-year window.  Please check your recertification cycle on your My Certification Dashboard for your specific timeframe.

For EMR providers, the recertification cycle opens on April 1 and continues until September 30. Applications for renewal can be submitted at any time during this six-month period.  There is a reinstatement period until October 31, to submit late applications.

For EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic providers, the recertification cycle opens on October 1 and continues until March 31. Applications for renewal can be submitted at any time during this six-month period. There is a reinstatement period until April 30, to submit late applications.

If you gain certification at a higher level, it may change your recertification cycle.
