In-service or Agency Continuing Education

In-service or Agency Continuing Education

A common form of education in EMS is continuing education hours offered through your agency or employer. Education completed this way may be referred to as in-service training (IST). The education can be offered as in-person training or via online education providers.  The requirement for continuing education is that the course is either state recognized as continuing education or CAPCE accredited education.
