Level Appropriate EMS Education

You can use continuing education from other certification levels, including but not limited to EMR, EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic. Other levels of certification recognized for continuing include but are not limited to critical care, flight, and community paramedicine. 

Any education you use should be patient care and EMS-related education. If you use any education that is at or above your current certification level can be applied towards the National, Local and Individual sections. If you use any education that is below your current certification level, it can only be applied towards the Local and Individual sections. 

All Education Must Be: 
  1. Applicable to EMS 
  2. Patient Care Related 
  3. Completed within your Recertification Cycle 
  4. Applicable to your scope of practice as a provider in the field
