Not Accepted Continuing Education
You can use a variety of options for continuing education. However, not all forms of continuing education are accepted towards your recertification requirements.
The following cannot be applied toward recertification requirements:
- Duplicate Courses
- Clinical rotations
- Instructor courses (teach the teacher types of courses)
- Management or Leadership courses
- Performance of duty
- Preceptor hours
- Serving as a skills examiner
- Volunteer time with agencies.
- Unused continuing education hours from previous recertification cycle
- Continuing education completed before you gained full certification
