Recertification Model

Recertification Model

The National Registry currently recognized only one recertification model, the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) 2016 model. Over the past two years both the Traditional 72-hour model and the NCCP 2012 models have been retired.  If you do not update your recertification model, you will be unable to submit your electronic application.

What this means to providers:
  1. Less hours than Traditional
  2. Simplification of requirements - 3 models down to 1 model
  3. All education completed towards either Traditional or the NCCP 2012 can still be applied to NCCP 2016 requirements
